grand prix
The results are in........and everybody had fun! :) The pencil, the whale, and the cars all had a good time. McKenzie's whale raced pretty good. Alexandra's pencil was a little slower, but it finished the race! I think the night was a success! Everybody had a good time, and it was over early! :)
Have a good night! (and a good Wednesday tomorrow!!)
Kellie's Kids!
How cute are these guys? When we went to Pioneer Park I shoved them all on the end of the slide and told them to smile! :) I think for the most part, they did!
Marcus
We went to Pioneer Park last week with daycare when the weather was decent. Marcus got a new hat. He will be able to wear it for a very, very, very long time! It is just a little big for him :) He has to look up to see where he is going.
Baby smiles!
Doesn't this just make you smile? There is nothing better than baby smiles, unless it is baby giggles! (Which he hasn't done yet!)
Such balance
Alexandra loves to stand on soccer balls and try to balance herself. This time she tried two soccer balls. Success!
Soccer and Aiden
No...Aiden is not playing soccer yet. I can't find shin guards and cleats to fit him. As soon as they make them in his size, I am all over it! Can you imagine itty bitty shin guards and cleats?!? How cute would those be?
Alexandra and McKenzie are playing soccer again. Spring soccer. Saturday was their first game. They weather was a little windy, but overall, not bad! No rain, no snow, no sleet, no super yucky weather. The sun was trying to come out for Alexandra's game (9:15am) and by McKenzie's game (1:50pm) there was sun. It is always windy out there, but nobody complained or froze!
This is what happens when you play soccer for a long time! You turn into a bit of a soccer head!
This picture of Aiden is on March 24. He is exactly one month old! I can't believe it has been a whole month! Everybody is adjusting pretty well. Aiden is up to 8lbs 12 oz now. He is a very alert baby. He enjoys looking around. He also smiles a lot! :)
I will go through my pictures and edit some of them and get them up here for you all to enjoy!
Have a great Tuesday! The girls have their Grand Prix race tonight at AWANA! Remember to cheer for the pencil and the whale!

Stripe day at Skyline
How cute are these girls??? Last Friday, the school earned stripe day for reaching their reading goal. These are their stipes! McKenzie and Emily even have matching GOLD shoes, earings, necklaces, bows (in their hair), shirts and tights! They love to share everything! They even got sick this weekend! On Sunday night McKenzie was throwing up and by Monday morning, so was Emily! Today they are both healthy and back in school. I don't mind the clothes sharing and matching, but really....being sick too?? That is a little overboard!
Have a great Wednesday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
So, I know it was last week, but this picture is too cute to not blog! McKenzie made these ears in class last week and this was the outfit that she chose to wear on St. Patrick's Day. The tights don't have green in them, but they were new adn she wanted to wear them. :) How could I even think about saying no when the outfit turned out so cute?!!! :)
Doesn't she just look like the cutest little leprchaun you have ever seen?
Have a great rest of your Sunday!

I have been busy!
I have had a busy last few weeks! Aiden is a great baby, but it is an adjustment with a new baby in the house. I have to remember he is not my baby and I don't have to get up with him or change his diaper! Alyssa is the mommy and gets those fun tasks! I get to snuggle when I want to (sorta!) and give him back when I want. We are all getting used to the new routines...
In other news....
*Alexandra ran the mile for the Presidential Physical Fitness (?) test today. Her goal was to beat Dominick (a boy in her class that is FAST!) Yesterday she fell and hurt her leg. It is all scraped and bruised. She was a little worried that she wouldn't run well today. Well....her time was 7min 29sec! She beat her own record by 50 sec and she beat Dominick by 10 or 15 sec! She was super excited!
*Alexandra also took the test for Aiming High to qualify for Full Time. She passed with flying colors! She was super, super excited!!! That means that next year she will be in a class with 5th and 6th graders that are just as quirky as her! :) She will be pushed to her full potential. She will actually have to WORK in school now! :) I am pretty excited too.
*McKenzie has been working on her verses for AWANA. She had a long verse to memorize and has been working on it for the last couple of weeks. Last night she passed! She said the whole thing (John 14:1-6) and passed not only that section, but the two after that!
* I am still rearranging and reorganizing my space. I need another burst of creative energy to finish it I think! (Any helpers out there that love to organize? I will treat you to your favorite Chinese dinner!)
That's it for now....I have some free time with no children, so I am going to go get something done!
Have a great Wednesday! The sun is beautiful!!!

photo shoot
Aiden and I were playing around with my camera this morning. He agreed to pose for me while I practiced my photo skills. I think we make a good team! He smiled and cooperated and I got some practice in! :)
