Friday Night..

Big plans for a Friday night?  My big plans for tonight were to come home from work and hang out with my girls (and boys!).  I also did the dishes!   I know...so much excitement!!

This is one of the cards we made last night at Stampin' Up!  I case'd this card online, but I don't remember where I saw it.  So simple.

This is little Mr. Ryan.  :)  He has his Teddy and his Brobie (sp?). Aiden found back up binkie (THANK YOU Aiden!!) and Ryan was a happy camper.  He snuggled right up in the corner of his bed and went right to sleep!  The boys had a bath tonight, so they should sleep really good tonight!  Nothing like a bath, clean jammies and a few good snuggly friends.  :)  Aiden is snuggling with his pooh bear blankie, back up pooh bear, pooh bear pillow, a lantern (so he can see) two cars, and a fire truck pillow!  There is not a lot of room left for Aiden, but he managed to fit.  I will go in there after he is asleep and thin out some of his "snugglies"!

McKenzie has two soccer games tomorrow.  One at 8:50 and one at 2:40.  Nice and spread out...

Stampin' Up!

Tomorrow night is club.  I have had so much fun this month playing with my new stamp sets.  This is using the Sale-a-Bration DSP and stamp set.  The DSP is Sycamore Street and the stamp set is Patterned Occasions.  Both are FREE with each $50 purchase you make!  I have made a bunch of other cards tonight, but I have to put a few finishing touches on them so I will post pictures of them tomorrow.

Great minds...

Great minds...think alike!  Purple is the color to wear! :)

Mom and I had our walk at Civic Field tonight because that is where Alex had soccer practice.  McKenzie got to walk with us tonight because she didn't want to stay home tonight and do homework!  :)
All three of us were wearing black and purple!  (I had a black skirt on at work, I just changed into pants to walk!)  Of course we had to take a picture! We are so cute!
It was pretty cool on our walk.  The breeze was chilly and it started raining about 30 min in to our walk.  Thankfully it wasn't a freezing rain or wind, just very chilly.

I made stew in the crock pot this morning before I left for work.  My house smelled so yummy when we got home!  I was very glad to walk in the door after getting off of work and home from soccer practice to a yummy cooked dinner, instead of starting the "what's for dinner" song.  I told the girls that we are going to do that a lot more (pre-planning dinner not "what's for dinner" song!)  It just makes the whole night go so much easier!

Alex made the volleyball team.  She had tryouts last week and yesterday. This morning they posted the results.  She made the B team.  The A team is for 8th graders and the B team is for 7th graders.  They also have a C team, which is a mix of 7th and 8th graders.  She was pretty excited!  She has never played volleyball before so this will be a fun experience for her.  Alex absolutely loves sports and being athletic.  She is good at most sports and catches on pretty quickly.

Jay asked McKenzie what sports she wanted to try in middle school. If she wanted to try anything other than soccer.  She said she didn't like softball, track, cross country, baseball, volleyball, etc.  Finally he asked, "What about wrestling?"  She thought about it and has decided that she would like to try out wrestling!  :)  That's my girl!!  We will see what she decides once it is actually here.  I may have to take her to a wrestling match, so she can see what it is all about.

Monday, Monday, Monday...

This is what my Monday looked like.  This is before Fedex came.  And before the pallet of Trend was delivered. And before the pallet of Carson was delivered.
I did get about half of it done today. Tomorrow I will have to start with the shipping part of my job and wait on the inventory part.

Alex had a soccer game tonight.  One of the best games I have seen! They played the Blue Ranger team.  AMAZING game!!  They are very evenly matched and played super well.  Both teams played good.  It ended in a tie, 6-6.  It stayed  pretty even all game.  Both teams had some great shots and great defense plays.  I was working on my sweater so I didn't take any pictures.  (Crazy, I know!)  Sometimes I just like to watch the game! :)

Tomorrow starts outdoor practice...

Super Bowl Sunday

Did you watch the Super Bowl today?  Do you watch it for the football, ads, or halftime show?
We did not watch the Super Bowl.  Since we don't have a TV (actually just no cable, we can watch DVD's and VHS's) we don't watch it.  Instead it was Laundry Day!  :)

This is also how I iron!  :)  On Saturday Alexandra had a solo/ensemble concert.  She had to wear nice clothes, not fancy, but nice.  She had black pants (that look like a skirt) and a white shirt.  Her shirt was very wrinkly so I told her that it needed to be ironed.  She said she was going to and she went into the bathroom, grabbed the water squirter, wet down the shirt a bit, took it to the dryer and let it dry for a couple minutes.  :)

I have taught her well!

*For the recored we do own an iron.  It works great for lots of crafyt things!

This is the progress on Alyssa & Richard's new house!  The roof is up and ready for the next step!  So exciting to see it all come together.

Saturday...

This is Molly. She is our box kitty.  This cat loves new boxes.  Everytime I get a box in the mail or bring a box home from work she checks it out.  Then it is her box.  Nobody better mess with it. Or her.  After a couple of weeks, I need to bring a new box home. She sleeps in the box, scratches the box, tears at the box, hides in the box, lives in the box.  Then she looks at me and I can hear her saying, "My box is messy, please bring me a new one."  I know that is what she is saying.  So we recycle the box and get a new one and she is happy.  Purring and sniffing and checking out her new box.

Today was a busy day.  I work at a conference today, McKenzie played two soccer games, and Alex had a solo/ensemble concert today.  My day was long, (thanks for helping mom!!) McKenzie won her first game and tied her second game, and Alex did well at her concert.  Alex played with three other classmates.  I saw a video of them and they did pretty good.

We are still waiting on little Miss Elizabeth.  She is taking her sweet time...maybe tonight. Or if she is as stubborn as her mother, maybe not!  :)

Good night!

Fun Friday February First!

This post is brought to you by the letter F!  :)

Today is February First!  At Appleyarns that means it is the February Sweater Challenge!  Fun!  This is my third year participating.  I am making the February Lady Sweater this year.  It is a fun little cardigan with three buttons on top.  I picked out a beautiful green Cascade 220 superwash.  It is much prettier than what it looks like in the picture.  I cast on and am about 10 rows in.  It is a top down sweater, which I haven't done before.  That will be my challenge this year!  I am very excited!

I am working at a conference tomorrow at BTC.  We packed up, set up, and got ready for tomorrow.  I went back to the store and picked up a couple of things that we still needed and I will be leaving my house about 7am!  On a Saturday!  Another long day to end a long week.  I know what I will be doing on Super bowl Sunday after church!  Sleeping!  (probably not...but it sounds good!)

Have a great night!
